Twin II: In Memory of Pamela
Mourning the loss of his friend Pamela, Karel writes a fantasy inspired by their conversations and sends it to the twin planet. It begins with the founding of a United Elites Commission, follows with conversations about the biased media and the Tower of Babel, and ends tragically on a tropical island named Bohemia. Vividly illustrated by a talented Earthling descendant, it is widely read and heeded as Pamela’s warning to her native planet.

Censored by media bias and embittered by the destruction of professor Borgeson’s patriotic legacy, Karel decides to take his chances with the next shuttle run to the twin planet. In a steady state of the wormhole, he steps out of his virtual reality suit to discover a self-cloned Pam. That they have a romantic destiny is revealed in his Book of Life dream. Upon their arrival on Twin, Karel reaches out to the same talented Earthling descendant who’d illustrated Twin II to illustrate the rest of the story, this time in living color.
