Karel Jan Kosman
A Coloradan since 1980, Karel was born in Prague at the heart of Bohemia, the ancient homeland of the Celtic Boii. Growing up under a Soviet-imposed regime, Karel turned to independent thinkers like Jonathan Swift, Franz Kafka, Karel Čapek, Stanisław Lem. Those giants of social science fiction wrote to put their worlds before a mirror, to open the minds of their contemporaries. The Twin, composed over the past four years, humbly attempts the same.
Karel left Prague in 1968 to begin a new life in Ottawa, Canada. There, he married the love of his life. Work had taken them to Montreal, Quebec; Palo Alto, California; and eventually, Boulder, Colorado. In 1991, Karel was contracted by the USAID to help restore ethical private enterprise in then Czechoslovakia. The work accomplished over twenty years of flying back and forth, the family resettled in their Rocky Mountains home in 2011.
Karel, holding an amateur radio license KD0RFQ, is a member of the Mountain Emergency Radio Network and serves as a sheriff’s volunteer. He received a certificate of recognition for his life-saving efforts during the 2013 Colorado flood. Karel has a masters of engineering degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague and a spatial IQ=172, confirmed by the Four Sigma Society—God’s gift of imagination.
Liba D Kosman
Liba is trigger happy with her little camera, through the lens searching the creation with a sense of wonder. See her March 2019 take, The Watching. The image is as captured by Liba’s camera – no Photoshop magic!

Avinash (Avi) Tiwari
The Twin storyline called for a ‘talented Earthling descendant’ who’d hand-illustrated Pamela’s message to her native planet. A world-wide search for an artist to fill that role has led to Avinash (Avi) Tiwari of India.
Avi has been creative since he can remember. In a childhood full of comics and superhero magazines, he was inspired to start sketching his own imaginations. He never lost that passion even as he chose his professional career in healthcare. Now a superhero himself, Avi studies medicine and serves his country folks long hours at a clinic. Yet he returns every free moment to his art, loving the way the pen feels in his hand as he moves it over the paper.
